"Two years ago I started working with Chris at Motiv8, I had put on a lot of weight and wasn’t happy with the way I looked, however there was a catch… I wasn’t willing to give up the foods I enjoyed the most, even though on my form i had circled that I had high motivation to change my “lifestyle”. Chris and I started our sessions and he would always begin by asking how my diet was, and guilty me always responded “good” and then when he would ask what my meals were I would leave out the foods I would snack on at work and at my friends house’s (goldfish, bagels, cookies, pasta, etc.) . Fast forward a year… looking at pictures of myself and seeing the number on my scale made me sick, I finally had the motivation I lacked the year prior and pulled myself to eliminate the foods I couldn’t give up the year before. Two years ago if you told me that I would be where I am today I would laugh and tell you that you’re crazy.

When I started with Motiv8 last year I weighed about 196 pounds and lost at most 4 pounds by the end of the summer (when I stopped working with Chris the first time). At the start of the new year (2016) I was up to 205 pounds, losing about 9 pounds before I began working with Chris (I slowly began watching what I was eating) and was going back and forth with my weight, then I started working with Chris weighing around 198 pounds, finishing this summer at 166, when I went back to visit Chris a month after I moved back to school, we did a quick weight in and was at 153 (i don’t know which one of us was prouder), fast forward, now I’m at 145 and still want to go back to Motiv8 to tone my body. These past two years have been nothing short of a roller coaster but Chris believed in me and motivated me to keep pushing myself and I truthfully don’t think I would be where I’m at today without Motiv8! In the three months that I have been training at Motiv8 with both Reid and Chris, I have seen drastic improvements and changes in my body and mindset. I have lost approximately 20 lbs, 19 inches in all, and am gearing up to run my first 5k this Thanksgiving. Prior to making the choice to come to Motiv8 I was 234 lbs, living a completely sedentary lifestyle and feeling almost trapped in my body.
